A PPF studio moved to Ace of Gloss and stopped losing gloss disputes

Applicator: A studio working with FSE · PPF application studio · full car wraps

The studio tested our flagship self-healing PPF on its own bench — elongation, heat self-healing, depth of gloss. After a run of installs it moved to Ace of Gloss as its default full-wrap film.

What the studio faced

The studio was wrapping cars with a film that split on leading edges and complex curves, and whose gloss visibly dulled within a year. They were absorbing 'faded finish' complaints out of pocket and wanted a roll they could stand behind without guessing how the material behaves when stretched.

What we deployed

We sent samples and the studio proved out Ace of Gloss by test: 270% elongation over mirrors and leading edges without whitening, heat self-healing of fine scratches, and 97 GU gloss after install. They switched to 152 × 15 m rolls and planned their cuts around the real yield per roll. The manufacturer's lifetime warranty gave them a line to give the end customer.

Result on the bench

Edge splitting is gone and the gloss holds. The studio now offers the manufacturer's lifetime warranty because it knows how the material behaves, and it has stopped paying out on dulled-finish complaints. Ace of Gloss is now its default full-wrap PPF.
